Congratulations to Martina Pizzeria East Village for being our Customer Spotlight for the month of September!
Martina is a new, Roman-inspired East Village pizzeria from Nick Anderer, the opening chef of Union Square Hospitality Group’s Italian dining destinations Maialina and Marta, and restaurateur Danny Meyer.
The menu draws inspiration from the Eternal City’s bustling neighborhood pizzerie that churn out thin-crust pizzas, fried snacks, and seasonal antipasti. Martina brings the casual and cozy vibe of Rome’s side street eateries to the heart of the East Village.
Martina officially opened its doors last month after years of planning. When it came time to choose their kitchen equipment, they needed reliability, efficiency, and versatility. They chose Vollrath Induction Warmers to ensure that their meatballs are served hot and fresh, as well as a Wood Stone Oven to produce the perfect pizza pie.
